EDUCATIONAL PROCESS The Military Technical Academy carries on engineer officers training education as well as post-graduate education on different levels to meet the requirements of the National Defence, and of other countries. PROFILES AND SPECIALTIES Engineer officers are trained in various profiles and specialties such as: * Armament, missiles and ammunition: - Armament, artillery equipment and fire control systems; - Ammunition, missiles, explosives and propellants; - Armament, missiles, aircraft ammunition and escape systems. * Aircraft: - Aircraft and aircraft engines; - Aircraft systems and equipment. * Armour and military road vehicles: - Armour, road vehicles and tractors; - Armour equipment and systems. * Electronic: - Missile and air defence artillery electronics; - Radar electronics; - Communications. * Systems and Computer Science: - Computers and automation equipment; - Automation of troops control. * Engineering: - Engineering machines and equipment; - Technical systems for mine barriers destruction and screening. * Geodetics: - Topogeodetics and automation of topogeodetics control. * Engineering: - Buildings, roads, bridges, entrenchments, Military training is carried out both during the semesters and at the end of the semesters by convocations and service in units and consists mainly in general military training, military training in specialty, tactics and technical equipment for each arm. Students carry out practical work in production and scientific research, according to their specialty, in military units and Army?s repair workshops, in research institutes and civilian factories. Besides the classrooms the material resources of the Military Technical Academy include more than 100 laboratories properly equipped for education, scientific research, a well equipped academic library, sports, and training grounds, a hostel, a canteen, a club and so on. 2. Post-graduate education Post-graduate education designed for graduates, is carried out in the Academy under various forms, namely: updating post-graduated courses; specialized post-graduated courses; post-graduate academic courses; master studies; doctorate. Post-graduate education is organized for both engineer officers and civilian engineers possessing a degree diploma. SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH The scientific research plan contains subjects of basic applicative theoretical and experimental scientific research, aiming at developing knowledge in various domains, at updating the educational process and at developing new types of equipment.
